This is my main reference picture which I cut out of a magazine. You can see where I taped the two halves together.

Below on the left and middle I have a collection of reference photos of my two subjects, with the most similar positioning I could find of their faces to the faces on my main reference. On the right, my ever patient hubby helps me create a reference for the body and clothing of the guy on the left.
