I've been working on this in fits and starts since last year. It's fun to draw in a totally digital format. It definitely gives you the freedom to easily add and subtract elements of the drawing using Photoshop layers and effects. For example in this drawing I ended up with about 22 layers. There is a layer that adds the spotlight effect. Other layers have the base colors for the faces, coats, hair, etc. More layers have shading and highlights and a couple have the brick background on them. Most important is the layer that started it all, the one with the sketch on it.

About the scene itself. Isn't this how so many stories start. Blair and Jim in a dark alley...
